Peverel Society

During the 1930s and 40s FT worked at several unpublished novels. She never submitted any to a publisher, but she struggled with Gates of Eden, as well as doing her work for the Peverel Society

After FT brought the Fireside Reading Circle to an end, she founded instead, with Mildred Humble-Smith (who possessed a university degree), a non-magazine writers' group called the Peverel Society .
