Ireland

Women suffragists, nationalists and trades unionists held a mass meeting in

to insist that female suffrage be included in the Home Rule Bill; their demands were ignored by the
Irish Parliamentary Party

Irish Women's Reform League
was established in
Dublin

, and affiliated to the
Irish Women's Suffrage Federation
.
After 26 April 1916
Louie Bennett
became editor of the
Irish Citizen
after
Francis Sheehy Skeffington
was murdered during the
Easter Rising
.
