Candia McWilliam

CMW is a Scottish writer who has lived for most of her adult life in London. She has published three novels, a volume of short stories, and a memoir. Her writing, family life, and success have suffered from severe alcoholism and from blepharospasm, a condition that rendered her functionally blind for a number of years before a successful experimental surgery alleviated her condition in 2009.
