Biography
She chose her first pseudonym from her father's family, and her second from the families of her mother and father combined.
The Dukes of Roxburghe, whose family name was Ker, took their title from the town of Roxburgh. The antiquarian, literary
(which was formed following the auction of the third
's book collection in 1812) published the correspondence of two of
's ancestors: the first Earl of Ancram and the third earl of Lothian.
