Christabel Coleridge

's writing career spanned over forty years in the last three decades of the nineteenth century and the first two of the twentieth. She published nearly thirty-nine novels, four collaborative fictional works, one collection each of short stories, tales, and essays, a study of English literature, and a biography. Many of her novels, stories, and tales were intended for young girls and women, and she often deals with family dynamics. She also edited two periodicals.
