Chrissey Clarke

Chrissey , elder sister of Marian Lewes (or GE ), died of consumption, aged forty-five; since Isaac Evans had embargoed correspondence, Marian had not known until the previous month that her sister was ill.

Her elder sister, Christiana or Chrissey Evans , born in 1814, was an important figure in her life, who often needed financial and emotional support when they were adults.
