Midland Railway

The Midland Railway emerged from the amalgamation of the Birmingham and Derby Junction , the Midland Counties , and the North Midland lines.

George Hudson , Britain's Railway King, fled the country when the extent of his fraud became known.

Robert Forester Mushet made the first steel rails for railway tracks.
