Sophia Woodfall, whose career was in acting, published two interesting novels during the first decade of the nineteenth century. Some lines of poetry in one of them are probably her own.
Milestones
30 October 1780 SW was born in London into a well-established family of publishers and journalists.  Bibliographic Citation link.
By November 1803 SW published the earlier of her two novels, the epistolary Frederick Montravers; or, The Adopted Son. Bibliographic Citation link.
14 May 1852 The former SW died at the age of seventy-one from "decay of nature", at 55 Great Ormond Street in Bloomsbury. Her death was listed under her married name, McGibbon. Bibliographic Citation link.
