1640 JM, probably not yet twenty, published as 'A Yong Gentlewoman' An Epitome of the History of Faire Argenis and Polyarchus, that is an abridgement of John Barclay's Latin novel Argenis, 1621. Bibliographic Citation link.
It is not known when JM died: it may have been any time after the appearance of her book in 1640.
