Sir James George Frazer was a late Victorian academic, anthropologist and investigator of aboriginal peoples' religious beliefs and practices. His book The Golden Bough made a huge impact on writers as well as scientists.

Glasgow, where he also had his early education.

7 May 1941 SJGF, British anthropologist, died in
Cambridge after about ten years of blindness, during which he had continued to work.
