A professional writer, who always wrote under her pseudonym, E. Owens Blackburne produced novels, short stories, poetry, journalism, and biographical work during the course of her relatively short career in the late nineteenth century. Her fiction and poetry was often set in her native Ireland, and makes frequent use of Irish dialect and traditional stories.
