Elizabeth Beverley entry: Overview screen.
By late 1792
EB must have been born, since her age was given as forty at the time of her death in November 1832.
EB published what may be her earliest work: The Indefatigable, Bound on a Voyage to the Island of Liberality
. Though extant editions date from 1830 and 1831, the early-dated contents suggest these are actually reprints.
19 November 1832
EB died, as The Guardian and Public Ledger
reported three days later, in the Lambeth
workhouse, where she had been taken exactly a week before "in a complete state of destitution and wretchedness."
