Anne Stevenson is an important contemporary poet, an heir to both the US and the British traditions. She experimented with drama and fiction early in her career. She writes fine criticism, and has edited the poems of others.
Milestones
3 January 1933 AS was born in Cambridge, England; her American parents took her back to the USA while she was still a baby. Bibliographic Citation link.
